The notion of alumni associations emerged to meet the demands of both ends, i.e. educational institutions and students, with the goal of bridging the gap between college life and career life, so that young graduates are prepared to confront the present challenges of a competitive professional world. Both ends will collaborate to achieve the goal. The idea took shape, and the Alumni Association was established.

The Alumni Association of Sivanthi college of education was formed on the Republic Day 2022, and named "SIVANTHI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ALUMNI ASSOCIATION" in the presence of Dr. K.Nilavazhagi, Principal, Mr.B.Vinoth Kumar and Mrs.P.Sweetlin Coordinators of the Alumni Committee, all the faculty members.

To connect the institution with its alumni worldwide in order to fulfill the institution's mission and objective.

Mission

1. To meet up again in the nest where we developed and took off.
2. To create a bridge between college and the working world in order to expose current students to the working world and encourage them to take initiative in overcoming obstacles that may arise in their career path.

ACTION PLAN

1. Holding committee meetings on a regular basis to develop a plan of action.
2. Conducting programs for confidence building, interview response techniques, and personality development.
3. Interacting with students who seeks better placement and give professional references.
4. Carrying out social welfare initiatives like blood drives, sanitation campaigns, tree plantings, and health awareness campaigns, among others.
5. Re-unions of former student teachers.
6. Encouragement of achievers.

ALUMNI GENERAL BODY MEETING

On Sunday, 23rd March 2022, the Alumni Association conducted the meeting: The meeting began by congratulating all the former students who are rendering their service in various educational institutions. And also congratulating all the students who are pursuing higher education and who cleared NET, SET, CTET, TET, TRB and TNPSC Examinations.

Alumni day

On 11th January 2023, the first Alumni Day ceremony took place. The primary goal of the Alumni Day event was to gather former students as possible and register them as members of the Alumni family. Dr. M.Murugesan founder and chairman, Mrs.P.Saraswathi Chief Academic Officer, principal Dr.K.Nilavazhagi, professors, Associate professors, Assistant professor and former students attended the event. Dr.K.Nilavazhagi delivered the welcome address. As a sign of appreciation, each delegate received flowers and a souvenir.

Our Chairman distributed the prize to the joyful winners. Throughout the day, former students performed a variety of entertainment events. Everyone in the college had a lunch, and the atmosphere was upbeat and revitalizing. On that day, a sizable portion of former students registered as members of the Alumni Family. Mr.B.Vinoth Kumar presented the vote of thanks to all gathered members. The alumni association crews spent their precious time and make the event a huge success and vibrant one. The event was exclusively managed by the Dynamic Alumni Association.
